Rossmoor Family Picnic & Dog Parade

The Rossmoor Homeowners Association and Rossmoor Community Services District invite all Rossmoor families to the Annual Rossmoor Family Fun Day Picnic, on Sunday, May 6th, from 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM, at Rush Park, 3001 Blume Drive, Rossmoor.

This year, we will feature activities for Rossmoor children with Larry’s Pony Rides and the Train Ride. We will again have Los Alamitos Youth Center Gymnastics providing exhibitions and participatory tumbling. And we have invited our Fire Department and the Sheriff’s rescue helicopter and Mounted Police unit.

In addition, the Picnic will feature food and drink, including hamburgers, hot dogs and ice cream, crafts and gift booths and great entertainment all day long. This year, we will have the best arts and crafts booths participation we have ever had. If you want to be a booth participant, please contact Georglyn Seligman at 562-598-6360. We have a number of entertainment acts scheduled, from gymnastics and martial arts exhibitions to a Dixieland band, the Los Al High School, Musique La Sur La Mer Orchestra and St. Lucy’s Folklorico.

Dog Parade

We will again feature an event for the other member of your family, your dog!  We will host our third annual Dog Parade at 2:00 PM (free registration from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM) for all well-behaved dogs with current required vaccinations.  We will award ribbons and prizes for all participants and first place ribbons and prizes for winners in the following categories:  Prettiest, Funniest, Best (Prettiest) Costume, Funniest Costume, Best Trick and Owner/Dog Look Alike.  Let your dog join in the fun and meet his or her neighbor dogs.
