50th Anniversary Dinner & Dance
at the Old Ranch Country Club

To cap off the 50th Anniversary events the RHA held a dinner dance at Old Ranch Country Club.  Many residents attended and met Senator Harmon and his wife and who also presented the RHA with a plaque commemorating our 50th. Everyone enjoyed a wonderful dinner and danced all night to tunes played by our DJ!  The delicious cake from Great Dane was devoured and the raffle prizes were a big hit, especially the 4 Angels Tickets generously donated by The Gorman Team.  Sue Sanders donated a $250.00 gift certificate for interior design which was also very popular.  The RHA plans to make this an annual event as it was such a great success.

Curb Painting in July

Starting the week of July 23, 2007 the RHA will be having Mr. Tim Majors paint new addresses on the curb for all homes in Rossmoor. There will be no charge for the painting. It will be paid for by the RHA as a community service.

The curb numbers are necessary and essential for aiding the Fire Department, the Sheriff, and ambulances in providing quick emergency responses. Please call or email the RHA or the RCSD if you have any questions or comments regarding the curb number painting.

Update: Repainting of curb numbers in Rossmoor began July 23 using a licensed contractor. The painting is at NO cost to homeowners. It is paid for every two or three years by the Rossmoor Homeowners Association as another community improvement project using money raised by the monthly paperdrive.  The RHA provides the curb numbers to ensure that emergency responders are able to quickly find the correct house when called.  The numbers are also part of the RHA's Neighborhood Watch and Disaster Preparedness activities."

Coyotes in Rossmoor

Click here for Coyote Prevention Measures

Even though we are in an urban environment, we share our community with wild animals, including coyotes. We have recently received several recent reports of pet cats being killed or missing. Although it is an inconvenience, please do not let your cats and small dogs outside (even in your backyards) unsupervised. And of course, do not feed your pets outside or leave pet food outside. Covering trash containers and promptly picking up all fruit from your trees is a good idea too.
